You wake on a rainy night, still in your pyjamas. Old Ge of the Qinglan market has you press your hand to the testing stone. Five lights crowd each other, none giving way, until all that is left is a dull grey glow.

The more mixed the root, the slower the climb. What a single-root prodigy learns in a year takes you several. But holding all five elements means none of them can truly master you.

  • Luo Wuchen – Myriad Swords Return (S, Giant Sword Sect): One draw of her sword and the sea of clouds parts. Then she sheathes it and politely says “excuse me”.
  • Yao Guang – Star-Plucking Fairy (S, Veiled Moon Sect): She hides starlight in her folding fan and saves it for the moment you are not looking.
  • Ao Shuang – Dragon Princess of the Eastern Sea (S, Spirit Beast Mountain): A runaway dragon princess. She says she is here to train; the Dragon Palace says she is here to play.
  • Shen Mobai – Cloud Crane Fairy (S, Yellow Maple Valley): Three furnaces exploded. The fourth exploded into a crane. Now the crane minds the fire and she minds the tea.
  • Cang Yue – Silver-Moon Wolf Maiden (S, Spirit Beast Mountain): Raised by the wolves of Spirit Beast Mountain, she still sniffs her food first. Compliment her and her tail gives her away.
  • Xiao Fengyin – Wind-Riding Sword Fairy (A, Giant Sword Sect): Her sword outruns the wind, so she always arrives a quarter hour early.
  • Gu Jinglei – Nine-Heavens Thunder Talisman (A, Clear Void Sect): Deadly serious while drawing talismans, happiest of anyone when the thunder lands.
  • Bai Zhi – Lotus Throne Healer (A, Yellow Maple Valley): They say dead trees quietly bloom wherever she has walked.
  • Hu Jiu – Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit (A, Spirit Beast Mountain): Nine tails, nine tempers. The seventh is the hardest to soothe.
  • Yun Ce – The Sword-Chasing Youth (C, Giant Sword Sect): He says “just a friendly spar” while his flying sword chases you down three streets.
  • Tang Li – Pill-Tasting Apprentice (C, Yellow Maple Valley): Always carries life-saving pills, and a few experimental ones that taste strange.
  • Yue Li – Mirror-Moon Illusionist (C, Veiled Moon Sect): Do not rush after her. What you see may only be a shadow the moonlight left behind.

  • 火Single root: S and A grade companions. One pure element, the sharpest when it counters and the easiest to counter.
  • 水金Two or three roots: they strike with their first element. Countering and being countered at once cancels out.
  • 金木水火土Five roots, the hero: strikes with the element of their sect. Nobody truly counters you; you just grow far more slowly.

What is Mortal's Path?

A cultivation (xianxia) game for phones, painted in Chinese ink wash. You are a modern city dweller who falls into a world of cultivators with a five-element root, trains step by step on Qinglan Mountain, meets 22 companions and fights in real time on a 3 × 2 board.

When does it launch and where can I download it?

The Vietnam server “S1 · Qinglan Opens” is coming soon on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), with an Android APK as well. The launch date is announced first on our official Facebook page and Discord.

Is it free to play?

Yes, it is free to download and play. Optional in-game purchases of virtual currency and items are available.

How do I use a redeem code?

In the game, tap your portrait (top left) to open your profile card and enter PHAMNHAN2026 in the redeem-code box to claim the starter gift. More codes are posted on our Facebook page and Discord; each code works once per account.

How do the Five Elements work?

Metal beats Wood, Wood beats Earth, Earth beats Water, Water beats Fire and Fire beats Metal. Countering a foe adds 50% damage; being countered removes 50%. Multi-root companions who both counter and are countered break even; the hero has all five roots, so nothing counters them, but they cultivate more slowly.
